The Team

  • Mary Donnelly

    MA, NBCC, RC
    Director of Marketing, SEL Consultant

Mary keeps trying to retire but was so excited by the Kids Super Journal that she asked to join the team. She is a retired school teacher and counselor and has taught SEL in middle and elementary schools. She has worked as a substance misuse counselor in schools and in inpatient treatment. She has practiced yoga and meditation for 19 years, and currently teaches mindfulness meditation online for Mysore Cincinnati. Before her career in education, Mary worked in the private sector in both print and radio advertising, and as a district sales manager.

Mary developed her love of physical activity at an early age as a response to childhood trauma. Swimming, canoeing, and hiking helped bring calm into her life. The deep breathing of exertion followed by sitting quietly in nature became the foundation for her mediation practice later in life. Mary discovered journaling as an adult in recovery and has relied on this skill for the past 35 years.
